Shuhan He, MD is faculty at the Lab of Computer Science (LCS) at Massachusetts General Hospital (the MGH) as an Assistant Professor Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS) as well as a hospital administrative role at the Center for Innovation in Digital HealthCare at Massachusetts General Hospital as Director of Growth. He focuses on the use of technology at scale to solve problems in the healthcare system.

Dr. He is co-founder and current executive board member of GetUsPPE.org, a nationwide non profit that since March 2020 has delivered over 18 million pieces of PPE, raised over 3 million dollars from 17,000 donors, and published as senior author in the Lancet, Nature Digital Medicine, and BMJ Opinion about the use of technology for allocation of scarce resources.

He works in social emergency medicine with opioid use disorder for scaling in person DEA-X waiver courses to a digital nationwide project. In addition, he was the co-author of the Anatomical Heart and Lung emojis now available on all Android and iOS devices worldwide. He also working on a litany of academic and technology transfer projects including cryptographic lottery allocation, remote work policies, point of care discharge triage of digital resources, web application building, and technology for equity and inclusion. He also works at the intersection of academics and the life sciences industry to help undertake academic technology transfer projects to facilitate implementation of research to the bedside.

​He trained in Emergency Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency.
